Hot tips #1 – How to keep your green bins clean

Place food scraps (cooked or fresh meat and any other cooked food) wrap in paper and place in freezer.  On the day of your rubbish collection day, place the frozen scraps into  bin.

 

 

Hot tips #2 – Tomato for curry

Next time you go grocery shopping and if tomatoes are on sale, buy them in bulk and freeze them. Don’t wash them. When you cook curries the next time take the tomatoes out of the freezer and then wash them. The skin will just peel off. Now, its ready to be added to your curry.

 
Hot tips #3 – Icecream cake

Need a dessert in a hurry?

Take a 2L tub of icecream and turn out onto a platter. Decorated by drizzling melted chocolate or sprinkle with your choice of topping (eg. chocolate hail, hundreds and thousands, assortment of lollies, etc)
