Curry Puff

Ingredients: currypuff

1 kilogram mince
2 large potatoes
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon fennel powder
½ can of tomatoes
1 sliced onions
4 chopped cloves of garlic
Edmonds pastry
Salt and 3 tablespoons of oil

Method:

  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into large cubes. Cook them on high in the microwave until they are soft
  2. Pour oil into a pan and heat it
  3. Fry the onions and garlic in the pan until they are brown
  4. Add the mince, curry powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, fennel powder salt and tomatoes. Keep cooking until the mince is tender
  5. Add the potatoes and cook for another 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool
  6. Cut the pastry into desired shapes
  7. Fill the mixture into the pastry and fold the edges together to seal
  8. Bake the curry puffs for 15 minutes on 180º – 200º C
