Curry Puff
1 kilogram mince
2 large potatoes
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon fennel powder
½ can of tomatoes
1 sliced onions
4 chopped cloves of garlic
Edmonds pastry
Salt and 3 tablespoons of oil
Method:
- Peel and cut the potatoes into large cubes. Cook them on high in the microwave until they are soft
- Pour oil into a pan and heat it
- Fry the onions and garlic in the pan until they are brown
- Add the mince, curry powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, fennel powder salt and tomatoes. Keep cooking until the mince is tender
- Add the potatoes and cook for another 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool
- Cut the pastry into desired shapes
- Fill the mixture into the pastry and fold the edges together to seal
- Bake the curry puffs for 15 minutes on 180º – 200º C
